The Book of Sophia

The book of Sophia is first and foremost a place for me to organize my thoughts and research for my book, to be entitled: The Book of Sophia.

This idea has been marinating for at least the last decade and I finally find myself putting pen to paper, or fingers to keys as it were, to flush out some of the ideas and get the chapters organized while hopefully get some constructive feedback along the way.

The book of Sophia is intended as it sounds to be a Book of wisdom, a modern grimoire of sorts, a collection of both ancient esoteric wisdom and modern scientific thought. It combines concepts of numerology, astrology and tarot with modern psychological concepts like Attachment theory, Trauma work and concepts from energy practices, both traditional and modern. It uses archetypes, myths and fairytales to increase our understanding of the concepts.  It is intended to appeal to both right-brained artistic and abstract types as well as the linear thinking, left brained, scientific minds. There really is going to be a lot packed in here, so I thought it was time to get organized and flesh out some of these ideas.

You will get to know me, through my writing about my personal experiences using the data and practices presented within. This is not meant to be about me, and more about the data, tools and practices.

The Sun in Leo part one Fixed signs

This month, the sun is in Leo until the 22nd when it moves into Virgo. During my personal wellness journey, I have found that by following the astrology each month, I am provided with an opportunity to check-in with various areas in my life to be sure my daily routines and habits are aligned with my long-term goals. This intentional check-in ensures that my routines keep me on track rather than detract me from where I am going.      Leo is a fixed fire sign ruled by the Sun in the 5th House For the next few days, we are going to take some time to breakdown all these terms down, so by the time the sun moves into Virgo, we will be well acquainted with Leo and ready to move with the sun. Since I was young, I intuitively knew the horoscope held some magical secrets. I found it entertaining to read my monthly sun-sign horoscope and see if the interpretation resembled anything applicable in my life. My analytical side however prevented me from actually putting any emphasis or v...
